COMMUNITY ADJUSTMENT FUND FOR SOUTH-WESTERN ONTARIO

Local Initiatives Program

 

ATTENTION: POTENTIAL APPLICANTS:

The Perth Community Futures Development Corporation offers a program that will support support local community-based initiatives that enhance the capacity for community economic development and diversification throughout Perth County.

Eligible beneficiary: (Must be located and conduct business in Perth County)

• Non-profit organizations (including municipalities, municipal organizations, societies, community development corporations and associations);
• Aboriginal organizations;
• Groups, alliances or organizations mentioned above in which a main beneficiary has been designated.

Eligible activities may include:

• community-based economic development projects;
• research projects;
• marketing and promotional activities;
• tourism events;
• export and trade initiatives;
• facilitate or host seminars/workshops;
• small scale capital projects; and,
• other costs directly related to the approved Eligible Activities.

Eligible costs may include:

• marketing and advertising costs;
• consulting and professional fees;
• travel; and/or,
• equipment.

Eligible expenses:

The contribution related to the Local Initiatives program should not exceed a maximum amount of $10,000 per project. Eligible costs may be up 100% of total eligible costs (excluding taxes). ALL PROJECTS MUST BE COMPLETED AND FUNDS DISBURSED BEFORE FEBRUARY 28, 2010.

Assessment: Applicants must demonstrate the following:

• a sound project budget and work plan;
• impact of the project on the local economy and how it is incremental;
• assessment of need for the project;
• demonstration of ability to implement and monitor the success of the project
• demonstration of how the initiative will be sustained if there is a plan for continued activity beyond time period.
